The Best and Worst Movies of 2004: #3.5

**So unfortunately I forgot a movie that really deserves recognition. Still not as good as my top three, it is thoroughly an experience to remember, and takes the 3.5 position.

The Best Movies of 2004: #3.5

Saved!

Synopsis
The life of a group of students who go to a fanatical Christian highschool. Focuses on typical teen issues, but in a very different setting, and being dealt with in a very different way than at a public highschool.

Why I Chose It

Saved! is one of the funniest films I have seen in a long time. Not just because it makes fun of overactive Christians, but because it plays on overzealous students, and sheds a different light on teen pregnancy and homosexuality, among other issues. Mandy Moore delivers her best performance to date, and proves that she can take on different roles than those she had been pegged for.

Possible Oscar Nods

Unfortunately, I don't see any nominations from the Academy for this flick, but it's great nonetheless.
