Unfathomable

Heyas.

In the last couple of days, an older gentleman, Martin, who talked on Youtube died suddenly. I had barely watched any of his videos, but nonetheless, it's extremely sad. His wife posted a video saying thank you to the community for listening to his stories about the war or otherwise, and it was very emotional.

Anyway, my post isn't about his death, but rather what has come after. On Youtube, for those of you who don't know, you can comment on videos. Martin's widow's video was put on the main Youtube homepage so that everyone could pay their respects. Normally when videos are featured on the main page, a bunch of immature, disgusting individuals post comments that call people horrid names and say ridiculous things, and this is no exception. A man just died, his widow is talking about his death, and people posted that he is a "faggot", that his widow should die too, and so many more awful things.

I just want to know what kind of low-down, rotten human beings could do something like that and sleep at night. I want to know what would coerce an individual to want to comment, disrespecting both someone who has lost their lifelong partner, as well as someone who has passed away.

What is wrong with people? I mean.. GAH! It's the most ugly, dispicable thing anyone could do, and there are so many there doing it, hiding behind their online personas, acting like slimy human beings. It makes me so angry and sick that I could vomit. If the state of humanity is in this much of a crisis, we have a much bigger problem on our hands than terrorism or global warming.

I have this theory that people who do things like that are jealous, just like everyone told us when we were kids and got picked on by other kids. They know that when they get that old and pass away, no one will care, and no one will cry for them. They won't leave behind a widow, and no community, online or otherwise, will ever miss them. So they lash out at people better than them, because the better people are better. Because when put up beside the better people, they look like the useless scum they are.

That's me.

I was going to go on that video and post a nasty response to all those losers who were saying nasty things, but there are holes, where people are commenting on comments that aren't there, so it looks like YouTube went through and deleted all those comments. I'm not normally pro-censorship, but I must say in this case, 'go, YouTube, go!
