Life Is To Be Lived

Hey ya'll,

So T-minus two hours til we leave to go camping and I can't wait! I'm all ready to get down, drunk, and dir-tay! The weather seems to be looking up, so I'm getting more excited by the minute.

Just watched Memento for like the one bazillionth time and I'm in the mood I get in everytime I watch it. I start thinking about what I'm living for, what I'm doing, what it really all means. I know it sounds like I'm turning into some really "deep" guy that would say "whoa" a lot, but I'm not, so don't worry. If you have seen the movie you should know what I'm talking about (if you've seen it and don't know what I'm talking about, then you should watch it again.). If you haven't seen it, I think you're missing out on the greatest motion picture of our time, if not all time. Every event in the movie has a specific meaning, and you don't realize what some means until you've seen the movie 10 times over. It's so profound and meaningful towards life and love, and really makes you take a look at what's around you, and kinda makes you feel good about yourself. Well, if life doesn't suck that is.

So anyways that's my rant on my favourite movie. I feel bad for liking it more than Amelie, since that used to be my fave, but I suppose while time passes, opinions change, and new experiences and events come to be in place of the old.

Interesting.

Tea: Not Just For Drinking

Hey Peeples,

So it's a Tuesday night. I'm completely exhausted and going to go to bed in about half an hour (pathetic I know).

Tomorrow is my LAST DAY of work, and I couldn't be more excited. It's such a relief I can't even describe the huge wave of emotions that are going through me. I'm pretty sure I'll almost cry lol but that'll be both happy and sad, so it should be interesting. Hopefully I don't throw up or something! LOL

So if you're wondering about the tea comment at the top, I have a stye, and was told to use a hot wet tea bag to soak out the infection. So I did.. it kinda worked, I'll do it again tonight. Hopefully this isn't one of those home remedies that doesn't work and just makes you look like an idiot, because that wouldn't be nice lol. And I already feel like an idiot!

So psyched to go camping this weekend, should be a gay ol' drunken ol' time! lol!!

Anywho, time for this Jam to jar up and go to bed.

You should hear: Last Thing On My Mind by Leann Rimes and Ronan Keating

PS - Open Water sucks. Can't go a single post for a while without making it known!

Late Nights with Early Mornings

Howdy Folks!

So it's 12.30 and I'm not really sure why instead of going to bed I'm posting. Who knows what goes on in that brain of mine? Not me!

So I read in the good ol' Brantford Expositor that the movie review guy gave Open Water (see my previous post) four stars out of a possible five!.. so apparantly they gave him a different showing of a different movie, because he talked about how the dialogue was great and the acting was top notch.

All I can say about this review is "only in Brantford". Only in Brantford could some two-bit hack get a job at a paper and give good reviews to movies like this. He also gave The Village a bad review, which is because he didn't understand the plot obviously. Only 10 more days in this city. Only 10 more days.

Two days left of work (thank Jebus). I'm so excited to just rest and go camping with Steve and Kev and just have a good time without worrying about work. This will be the first time I will not be working in almost 4 years. Can we say that's INSANE because I'm only 19 and have went through 4 jobs? Like whoa.

Anyways bedtime for this Jam.

--Jam (haha I just said that!)

You should hear: Striptease by Hawksley Workman, and Ordinary by Train
You should see: Open Water (haha just kidding)

**I'm adding a new li'l thing at the end of every personal post, if someone's making me super happy or doing a good job as a good Jam friend, then I'll mention them!**

My hero today: Steph, for being such a good friend in the tough times! Luv ya hun!

Open Water.. drown me in it

Hey Peeps,

So I had the wonderful experience of seeing Open Water this evening. I'm almost short on words to describe why it stank, and for those of you who know me well, you know that doesn't happen very often lol.

The acting: bad. Not just bad. Horrible. It seemed like they chose a man and a woman who work in the pornography industry, who can get their lines out, show minimal expression and feeling, and receive their paycheque.

The video: I believe they used amateur cameras to create the feel of the viewer being actually stranded in the middle of the ocean. But instead of that, it came across as a blurry, "artsy", confusing mess of camera angles, shots, and cinematography altogether, which didn't seem to make sense at times.

The plot and script: *shudders* I'm not going there. Let's just say, there is a lot lacking.

So.. I could go through a lot more but I'm getting lazy. It was just AWFUL. DO NOT by any means see this movie. It was short (79 mins), it was pointless and predictable, and was not scary in the least. It was, however, kind of humourous.

So yeah, that's my rant on that. I'd put a picture up, but I don't have a place to store pics (stupid spymac.com going all crazy on me).

Aaaanyways, I'll do a real post on real me on a real day.

Ciao dudes,

Be in Control

Hey ya'll,

So I was talking to a good friend of mine tonight. She's going through a crisis with a boy, and as always, I sit and listen. I never get out enough opinion because to each comment she has a "but" or some sort of retaliation to say he's worth it because.. bla bla bla. Well I have a blog. And she reads it. So I get to talk as much as I want! Mwa ha.

So I find this particular friend of mine whom I care for very much and am quite worried about is worrying me more these days, as she gets more distressed over relationships than I can ever imagine. But the thing that bothers me most about this whole situation is she is going to give herself an aneurysm over men she is hardly attached to! I'm not saying she doesn't know them, but she needs to stop getting so attached so quickly.

I find it is a set up for failure if you get attached to someone prematurely, because since the chances of that one person being the perfect person for you are slim, you WILL get hurt if you attach yourself. YOU are in control of your own emotions to an extent and you CAN make a conscious decision to hold back until you know you can trust a person.

Anyways that's my rant. I'm only ranting about it because I care about her very much and I want her to change her patterns with men a little. Hopefully this Jam has been of help! Still luv ya babe! You know who you are!

Go here. It's hilarious. Just do it.

Things to do: Clean my room, pack some stuff, go get drunk, ask that guy @ work out, make extra money selling magic beans.

PS - If anyone knows of a website where I can store pictures to link to so I can publish pictures on here, lemme know! Cause my old one (as you may have noticed) is like closed or something, so all my pics are on the fritz.

Wow.. I still have one of these?

Howdy Pardna's!

Wow, I'm surprised to see I still have a blog! Do people still read this? Are people at the edge of their seats, wondering and waiting for my next post, unable to sleep or eat or create coherent thoughts and sentences!?!? Nah I didn't think so. lol

So work ends in one week today. HOW AMAZING IS THAT? In case you were wondering, it's VERY amazing :) I'm so excited to go back to school now, it's going to be so incredible living with fun people in a nice new room. Oh by the way, incase you're not up on your Jam news, I painted my room and have furniture/accessories to match. So it shall be grand! GRAND I SAY!

So I visited my ga-rate friend Leanne this weekend, it was so great to see her! We always have so much fun together! I think we're like SOULMATES or something.. well maybe not that, but whatever we can be that's close to that! And met a new guy, very nice and levelheaded. Was all in all a terrific weekend! Although Leanne stole my pillows (I'll get you baaaaack!). This week I hung out with some good friends, had a crazy-ass time in the reserve (scary bugs and dogs and women and ahhhh), but things have just been really good for the Jam lately! Love all my friends for that *muah to all* lol.

Well off to bed, it's SO LATE OMG *past 10!*
